Ethereum Gaming Metaverse Sandbox Soon there will be a blockchain focused on its own creators called Sandchain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built on ZK stacks.
Sandchain aims to be the home of Creators On-Chain, owning content, generating money from identity, allowing you to manage your community without giving in to the platforms you create.
“By leveraging Sandbox’s existing ecosystem, which includes over 8 million users, over 400 brand partnerships and sand tokens, we are laying the foundation for “Creator Nation.” Decryption.

“For game creators, including Sandbox Metaverse, but more widely across the app store, this means that they can launch loyalty points, quests and game tokens without worrying about validating transactions from seconds to minute.”
The Layer 2 network will feature three value layers: sandpoints to track network reputation and loyalty, creator points to support creators, access to each token, creator tokens, and tradeable assets related to the creator’s brand.
“Sandchain is about giving creators a financial foundation as well as advocates,” Sandbox CEO Robbie Yong said in a statement. “Sandbox is excited to partner with the Sandchain Foundation to build a sandchain and provide creators with a way to turn fundraising rails, automated revenue management, and audience support into concrete growth.”
The network uses sandbox sand tokens as native gas tokens, ultimately increasing the usefulness of the tokens and drives patrons and creators’ safes.
The sand has soaked following the news and is now down 2% that day at a price of around $0.26. This month it fell nearly 8%, remaining at around 97%, the highest ever price set in 2021.
Sandbox is an Ethereum Metaverse game built around tokenized land parcels that allow owners to create and release games, along with user-owned avatars and in-game assets. The project has secured a number of celebrities and brand partners, including Snoop Dogg, The Walking Dead, Cirque Du Soleil, Atari, Paris Hilton, and Warner Music Group.
Sandchain will begin early access sign-up on October 1st, with Testnet scheduled to debut on October 14th.
Early launch partners include the Animoca brand, Ethereum NFT Collection Cool Cats, Zksync, Pucca, and the Korean manga series.
“Thanks to the rise of ZK-Rollups and Ethereum Sidechains, blockchain launches have been more accessible than ever,” Borget said.
“When I set out on developing the sandchain, he said, “We quickly realized that the actual value is gone in the increasingly commoditized base infrastructure, but in how we serve, how to enable meaningful use cases such as gaming, entertainment, and creator fan interaction.”
