Cryptocurrency Exchange FTX today announced that it will distribute a total of $1.6 billion in funds.
According to information shared by Sunil, who represents FTX creditors, this distribution takes place at different rates between large and small creditors.
Large creditors (over $50,000) received a 5.7% payment by May 30th. Users in this group receive 78.2% of total bills, including 72.5% that have not yet been paid. For small creditors (less than $50,000), the situation is even more advantageous. Users will receive interest or additional compensation in addition to paying 120.5% of the bill.
It has been announced that payments will be made at a 40% rate for US users. The overall distribution rate, taking into account all user groups, is about 95%.
FTX has reported that within 1-3 business days from September 30, 2025, the rights holder will be able to receive payments through the distribution service provider of their choice. However, the forecast amount in July was $300 million lower, causing concern.
The company also warned users about fake FTX client portals and phishing emails, advised them to use only official channels.
