Due to the recent US government shutdown, the approval process for XRP ETF applications has been suspended
Companies such as Grayscale, Canary Capital, and Bitwise are awaiting approval of their XRP ETFs by the SEC.

Multiple XRP ETFs have launched this year, but dozens more are still awaiting U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approval. The recent U.S. government shutdown has left agencies operating with a small number of employees, causing delays in these applications. Approximately 90 ETF applications remain untouched during this closure.
Live XRP ETF List
- Techrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF: An application was made under the 1940 Act. Despite the government shutdown, it went live in October under the ticker XXRP.
- Volatility Stocks XRP ETF: Launched on May 22, 2025, it is the first non-leveraged XRP futures ETF in the United States and trades on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPI.
- Volatility Share 2X XRP ETF: Launched on Nasdaq in July 2025 under the ticker XRPT. The fund provides 2x leveraged exposure to daily price movements in XRP through XRP futures contracts.
- Profiles Ultra XRP ETF:The ETF was launched in mid-July 2025 under the ticker UXRP.
- Rex Ospreay: Officially launched on September 18, 2025 under the ticker XRPR. This ETF offers investors a regulated way to gain direct exposure to XRP within the framework of a 1940 Act ETF.
- Tuttle Capital 2X Long XRP Daily Target ETF:The fund filed a post-effective amendment pursuant to SEC Rule 485 to formally set a new effective date for ETF listing as October 10, 2025.

- gray scale: Application for conversion of XRP Trust to ETF filed via Form 19b-1 on November 21, 2024. The final deadline is set for October 18, 2025.
- wisdom tree: An application to launch a spot XRP ETF that directly tracks the price of XRP was filed on December 2, 2024 via Form S-1. The final deadline is set for October 24, 2025.
- coin share: The application to launch the Spot XRP ETF was filed on January 24, 2025 via Form S-1. The final deadline is set for October 25, 2025.
- 21 Shares Core Trust:Application to register Core XRP Trust Shares for listing on the Cboe BZX Exchange was filed on November 21, 2024 via Form 19b-1. The final deadline is set for October 19, 2025.
- canary capital: The application to launch the Spot XRP ETF was filed via Form S-1 on October 8, 2024. The final deadline is set for October 23, 2025.
- bit by bit: The application to launch a spot XRP ETF that directly holds XRP was filed on December 2, 2024 via Form S-1. The final deadline is set for October 20, 2025.
What do the experts say about it?
Bloomberg expert Eric Balciunas has expressed his enthusiasm for ETFs multiple times since early October. As the application deadline approached, approvals were paused due to the U.S. government shutdown.
In response, Braciunas said: “From what I hear, everything is on ice… It’s like a rain delay. It’s a bad time, but we’ll see what we’ll do.”
