Bitcoin finance company Strategy has announced its third-quarter financial results, announcing that the company returned to profitability during the quarter.
MSTR stock rose after Strategy reported better-than-expected financial results, which caught the attention of longtime Bitcoin critic and gold enthusiast Peter Schiff.
Schiff noted in a recent tweet that MSTR is up 6.7% after reporting better-than-expected “earnings.”
$MSTR rose 6.7% as the company reported better-than-expected “earnings.” But the entire report is a fraud. The so-called profits simply reflect the rise in Bitcoin. Saylor’s full-year 2025 outlook simply reflects his assertion that Bitcoin will skyrocket between now and the end of the year.

Strategy chairman and co-founder Michael Saylor shared the company’s Q3 2025 review in a recent tweet, adding that Strategy reaffirms its 2025 guidance. The company recorded a net profit of $2.8 billion during the quarter after capturing unrealized gains from the appreciation in the value of its cryptocurrency inventory of approximately $70 billion.
As of October 26, 2025, when Strategy announced its latest acquisition of 390 BTC, its Bitcoin stash was 640,808 BTC, acquired for approximately $47.44 billion at $74,032 per Bitcoin.
This strategy yields $20 billion in BTC profits
According to Saylor, Strategy reported $20 billion in BTC profits in the third quarter of 2025. Bitcoin hit new highs in the third quarter, and Strategy Inc.’s Bitcoin assets grew as dozens of public companies copied the treasury company model pioneered by Saylor five years ago. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $110,016 after reaching an all-time high of $126,198 on October 6th.
Revenue from Strategy’s Legacy Enterprise Software business rose 11% to $128.7 million, beating analysts’ average estimate of $116.8 million.
Schiff criticized Strategy’s Bitcoin approach in a tweet, saying, “Saylor’s full-year 2025 outlook simply reflects his assertion that Bitcoin will skyrocket between now and the end of the year.”
