Bitcoin recently saw its fifth-largest profit-taking event in 2025. Following a significant rise in Bitcoin prices, profit levels rose yesterday at over $3.7 billion, registering the fifth-largest volume of the year, according to on-chain analytics platform Cryptoquant.
Bitcoin saw a massive surge on Wednesday, but most other risky assets fell after U.S. lawmakers were unable to reach government funding contracts, leading to the closure.
The biggest cryptocurrency generated significant volatility in trading sessions on Wednesday, reaching a top of $118,718 on a massive single daily candlestick, with the move catching the shorts. Similarly, at one point on Wednesday, Bitcoin was traded for a low of $113,975 as traders profited.
However, the Bulls were in charge soon, and Bitcoin prices further expanded their recovery. The rebound was extended early Thursday, with Bitcoin reaching a high of $119,863.
At the time of pressing, Bitcoin had risen by 1.96% over the past 24 hours, up 1.96% at $119,588, up 7.2% per week.
Bitcoin has grown by more than 25% this year, and Wall Street companies continue to accept it, with global investors beginning to see cryptocurrencies as trustworthy portfolio allocations and merely quick trading vehicles.
What’s next?
According to Cryptoquant, recent profitable events may not go unless they are meaningful. This is because this high level of profit acquisition can affect spot sales pressure. However, it has not yet revealed any significant advantages of short-term investors.
