Daehong Communications, a subsidiary of South Korea’s Lotte Group, has announced plans to use Aptos, a high-performance layer one blockchain, to create a blockchain-powered “Money Movement” ecosystem. The project follows a partnership formed last year between Daehong Communications and the Aptos Foundation.
The “Money Movement” system is designed to track and verify digital assets such as mobile vouchers, loyalty points, mileage, and Stablecoins. All transactional data is recorded on the blockchain to ensure transparency in ownership and management.
As part of the initiative, Daehong has integrated Aptos blockchain technology with Giftiel, a mobile voucher service run by its subsidiary Spoon. During the soft launch phase, Giftiel has already registered users with over 500,000 users on Aptos, with over 1 million vouchers issued.
Giftiel’s Voucher Lifecycle – By moving issuance, distribution and reimbursement to the blockchain, users gain full transparency and traceability of their vouchers. Meanwhile, businesses have access to reliable usage data for better operational insights. The system could expand to other areas later, such as customer compensation, commercial services, and Stablecoin applications.
Daehong Communications plans to deepen technical and marketing collaborations with APTOS Labs and develop further the APTOS ecosystem. Giftiel’s real-time blockchain data can already be viewed using the Explorer tool provided by web3 Solutions Company Xangle to provide details about vouchers, transactions, and user statistics.
This project represents a practical application of blockchain technology in everyday commerce with wider adoption potential in digital asset management.
