Providenciales, Turks, Caicos Islands – Crypto is taking another step into everyday life. Kucoin Pay, the payments arm of Global Exchange Kucoin, has partnered with Swiss provider DFX.Swiss to deploy new payment integrations in more than 100 SPAR stores in Switzerland.

The partnership plugs Kucoin payments into DFX.Swiss’ OpenCryptoQR system, allowing shoppers to resolve grocery invoices with Stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies. For users, the process is as simple as scanning a QR code in the Kucoin app. For merchants, settlements happen instantly in Fiat. There is no conversion headache and no exposure to code volatility.
Why is it important?
This integration transforms digital assets from speculative investments to practical payment tools. With zero gas charges, immediate merchant settlements and lower fee costs than traditional payment rails, the collaboration highlights Crypto’s increased efficiency as a real-world medium of exchange.
Kucoin Pay lead Raymond Ngai highlighted the bigger picture.
“At Kucoin Pay, we are committed to creating a part of the encryption of everyday life. By partnering with DFX.Swiss, we are not only enabling payments, but redesigning the way 41 million Kucoin users can interact with traditional retail.”

For DFX.Swiss, partnerships represent a key milestone in their mission to normalize crypto spending.
“With Kucoin Pay, we are creating a simple, compliant, global preparation gateway for everyday digital payments. This is an important step towards the future where crypto is as common as cards and cash.”

The spur rollout is just the beginning. Kucoin Pay is already active in sectors ranging from e-commerce and travel bookings to games, coupons and gift cards. Recent chain payment solutions complement existing off-chain services, providing decentralized flexibility along with compliance-first reliability.
By focusing on ease of use, regulatory integrity, and merchant-friendly economics, Kucoin Pay paves the path to mainstream adoption as a payment standard, not as a Swiss standard, but worldwide.
