Defunct cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox announced on Monday that it will postpone its repayment deadline to creditors by one year from October 31, 2025 to October 2026.
“Since it is desirable to make repayments to rehabilitation creditors to the extent reasonably practicable, the rehabilitation trustee, with the permission of the court, has changed the repayment deadline from October 31, 2025 to October 31, 2026,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the administrator explained that, with the exception of some specific repayments, major repayments known as basic repayments, early lump sum repayments, and interim repayments to creditors who completed the necessary procedures and had no problems during the procedures were almost completed.
According to CoinDesk data, BTC is trading at $111,540 at the time of writing.
