Solana’s decentralized artificial intelligence infrastructure project, Gradient Network raised $10 million in a seed funding round led by Pantera Capital and Multicoin Capital.
The Gradient team, building a distributed AI runtime in Solana, announced the Seed Round Funding Milestone on June 17, 2025. Capital injections from Crypto Venture Capital Giants accelerate the Gradient Network’s plans and democratize the edge computing ecosystem.
AI is increasingly permeating all aspects of society, but its adoption has attracted global concerns related to the top privacy, equity and centralization of ecosystem players and regulatory agendas. Currently, multiple projects are aiming to leverage blockchain technology to address privacy risks and elimination.
The Gradient Network’s decentralized AI infrastructure is one of these efforts, facilitating integration of distributed data, calculations, and algorithm development.
“This approach protects user privacy and democratizes access to AI, as well as reduces systematic bias that has been entrenched in centralized systems,” Gradient Network wrote in a blog post.
Gradient’s technology is trying to convert everyday devices, such as smartphones and computers, into a distributed global network that is enabled to speed up streaming and computing.

In addition to Pantera and Multicoin, the $10 million seed round also saw participation from HSG (formerly Sequoia Capital China) as well as several notable partners and angel investors from across the crypto and AI sector.
The Gradient Network roadmap includes two flagship technologies: Lattica and Parallax, universal peer-to-peer data communications protocols designed to improve scalability across the AI ecosystem.
As real-world adoption grows, distributed physical infrastructure networks continue to gain momentum. Gradient will be participating in an increasing list of blockchain-based AI and data infrastructure projects such as Io.net, Dephy, Aethir, Metastreet, and Crunchdao.
According to CoinmarketCap, top depin projects by market capitalization include Bittensor, Render, Theta Network, Helium, Internet Computer and Filecoin.
