David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer of Enterprise Blockchain Firm Ripple, has joined in the ongoing feud between the XRP and Litecoin communities.
On Wednesday, Litecoin influencer Jonny Litecoin (@jonnylitecoin) said “Bitcoin gold silver” is actually better than XRP.
XRP, on the other hand, is created with just codelines “free” and “from thin air” as Litecoin influencers argue. Therefore, he questions whether the XRP network is actually worthwhile despite the fact that the token’s market capitalization is currently at $709 million.
In the meantime, Schwartz argues that Litecoin and XRP are essentially equivalent products, but the difference is that the former actually requires more energy. Therefore, Ripple CTO suggests that XRP will become more popular due to its sustainability.
Of course, it should be noted that Ripple has long promoted “green trust” in XRP. In fact, co-founder Chris Larsen has advocated against Bitcoin’s workplace proof consensus algorithm in collaboration with Greenpeace. Pow Cryptocurrencies are assembled as wasteful and environmentally harmful.
Rekinds the long-standing feud
Proponents of cryptocurrency for work such as Bitcoin and Litecoin have long been in Loggerheads in the XRP community.
As reported by U.Today, the official X account of Litecoin Cryptocurrency has recently rekindled its long-standing attacks by attacking XRP and Mocking CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
Despite receiving violent applause from members of the XRP community, anyone who managed their Litecoin account refused to step back.
