Important points
- Rumble has begun limited testing of a non-custodial crypto wallet for streaming tips.
- This wallet allows users to send Bitcoin, Tether (USDT), and tokenized gold chips within live streams and on-demand videos.
Video streaming platform Rumble today began limited testing of a non-custodial wallet feature that allows users to send Bitcoin and stablecoin tips directly within livestream chats and video-on-demand content.
The test phase is currently available to Android users and supports tipping in Bitcoin, Tether’s USDT stablecoin, and tokenized gold. Wallet integration allows creators to receive cryptocurrency donations for both live streams and recorded content.
Tether, which issues stablecoins and tokenized assets, is behind Rumble’s new wallet system. This partnership will enable the platform to process on-chain transactions for multiple digital assets beyond Bitcoin.
The wallet feature represents Rumble’s expansion into creator monetization through crypto assets, providing content creators on the platform with an alternative to traditional payment methods.
