- Solayer unveils SVM bridge to increase interoperability in the Solana ecosystem
- The SVM Bridge connects Solana to InfinisVM and other SVM chains.
- The network boasts latency, security and efficient asset bridging
The interoperability of the Solana (SOL) ecosystem could soon be boosted. On Friday, August 15th, Solayer, the company behind Infinisvm, announced the launch of the SVM Bridge. The bridge acts as a network interoperability solution using Solana Virtual Machine (SVM).
The bridge connects the Solana network to InfinisVM and other SVM chains. Solayer claims it has ultra-low latency and minimal transaction fees to keep assets transferred efficiently.
“The SVM bridge maintains interoperability that is native to SVM. This is critical, low latency and simple for builders. Sign once, maintain tools, and move assets at chain speed without a translation layer.”

For native support for SVM chains, the SVM bridge eliminates the translation layer. This improves performance compared to similar interoperability solutions. Solayer claims that the network can achieve finality in one second at a rate of 0.0006 SOL.
Solayer has partnered with SOON. It is already built into multiple layer 1 models using decoupled SVM models. This allows you to deploy Solana Virtual Machines to other chains.
“SVM Bridge allows all SVM chains to act like one environment. Seamless condial burrs and direct fluidity across the network.”

Solayer highlighted that Multichain Bridges poses important security challenges. Since 2021, users and protocols have lost $2.7 billion in bridge attacks, making them one of the most vulnerable technologies in the blockchain space.
This is primarily due to the fact that in other ways, centralization is being introduced into distributed environments. Bridge technology has improved, but centralization remains an important concern.
