Soluna Holdings and Canaan Inc. have signed a hosting agreement to deploy the 20-megawatt Avalon A15 XP Bitcoin Miner at Soluna’s Dorothy Site in Briscoe County, Texas.

The deal, announced Tuesday, is located in the facility with Canaan placing approximately one second per second (eh/s) of computing. The company said its installation is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
Soluna, developer of renewable data centers, said hosting brings additional use to the Dorothy Campus and is listed on Nasdaq to allow Canaan to do so. Both companies assembled this arrangement as standard hosting. Soluna provides infrastructure. Canaan supplies machines.

The news follows Soluna’s August announcement that Galaxy Digital has deployed 48 megawatts of Bitcoin mining gear to Project Kati 1 in Soluna, Texas, leading the facility to 83 MW capacity. Canaan’s hosting is clear and tied to Dorothy’s site.
Canaan said the Avalon A15 XP unit will be run on the wind power campus on Soluna’s modular infrastructure, targeting efficiency and reliability. Soluna trades on Nasdaq as SLNH. SLNH shares have fallen by more than 15% in the last five trading sessions, but since last month, SLNH has risen 422%.
The parties highlighted the combination of access to smooth operation of renewable energy and grid access, with the initial rig expected to arrive before the start of 2026.
