Square today began offering a $50 Bitcoin incentive to the first 20,000 merchants to enable the “Bitcoin Convert” feature on their platform. The Block-owned payment processing company has launched a promotional campaign to increase the adoption of Bitcoin in businesses.
Square recently launched a Bitcoin wallet solution for local businesses, facilitating zero-fee BTC transactions through 2026 and encouraging broader merchant participation. The company has begun onboarding merchants to enable Bitcoin payments, allowing small businesses to accept BTC directly at checkout with built-in wallet support.
This incentive is in line with Square’s broader push to integrate Bitcoin into merchant terminals, with announcements to make accepting BTC seamless in everyday commerce.
