Stellar (XLM) has increased by 8% over the past seven days. The price is currently at $0.2529, an increase of 2% over the last 24 hours, and we saw a new update release for the stellar ecosystem.
According to the Stellar release, the X handle, which shares an update for the Protocol 23 preliminary release, Stellar Core V23.0.0RC2, is live. This release includes all protocol changes for Protocol 23 CAPS (except CAP-62 to CAP-70 to CAP-70 to CAP-64), and is a candidate for protocol 23 release, and is promoted to “stable” if the protocol 23 upgrade is successful on the testnet.

Other releases include stable release v0.3.0. This includes advanced access control modules, stablecoins and NFTS extensions, and new Merkle tree components. Most of these new features are now available directly through Stellar’s Openzeppelin Contract Wizard.
Stellar prepares for major upgrades
Protocol 23 is expected to bring new Core Advancement Proposals (CAPS) to the stellar network.
New features in Protocol 23 include state archiving capabilities that allow soloban live state to be moved into memory, as well as support for parallel execution of soloban transactions using the new “parallel” transaction set structure and the reusable ledger cache of the Soloban WASM module, significantly reducing the cost of cross-contract calls.
Other features include support for “unified” events that allow the use of soloban events to track token movements on the network.
CAP-0067: Unified Asset Events also includes soloban support for “multiplexed” accounts (M-accounts) and “multiplexed” destination stellar asset contract support, allowing for the implementation of exchange encryption such as Solobantken.
Mainnet voting for the Protocol 23 upgrade is scheduled for August 14th, 2025.
