Bitcoin and altcoins faced consecutive declines in the final quarter of 2025, contrary to expectations for an uptick.
At the moment, many altcoin investors are trying to balance their portfolios while incurring large losses at the same time.
According to crypto analytics platform Lookonchain, a whale address starting with 0x03b5 that has been inactive for nine years recently exchanged its Ethereum holdings for Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
This whale address is believed to be associated with Eric Voorhees, one of Bitcoin’s early proponents and founder of Shapeshift.
According to the data, this address has exchanged 4,619 ETH (worth $13.42 million) for 24,950 BCH in the past two weeks.
Ethereum is currently trading around $3,000, while BCH continues to trade at $567.
A wallet (0x03b5), presumably linked to Erik Voorhees (@ErikVoorhees), recently exchanged $ETH for $BCH after being dormant for nine years.
