Wall Street veteran Jordi Visser told reporters that traditional US financial companies are likely to raise their bitcoin quotas by the end of the year.
He hopes demand will recover in the fourth quarter as the portfolio manager sets position ahead of 2025. Some managers make small moves. Others could shift larger slices of their holdings to BTC, Visser said.
Institutional surveys show strong interest in Bitcoin
A majority of institutional investors are planning to add a crypto exposure in 2025, according to a study by Kyodo Coinbase and Ey-Parthenon.
The survey predicts that 83% of respondents will increase their allocations, with 59% expecting to put 5% or more assets under control into crypto or related products.
These figures suggest that many companies are preparing for broader crypto use in their portfolios.

Intent is not always equal action
Money Manager plans can be changed. Regulations, market fluctuations, and macro shocks can delay or stop purchasing. Still, when many institutions say they will act, it increases the chances that the real flow will continue. However, the timing and size of movement remain uncertain.
ETFs flow feeding demand
The Spot Bitcoin ETF has pulled out a massive influx this year, allowing institutions to be on the market.
Recent daily net inflows reached approximately $642 million on a single trading day, with a cumulative net inflow of ETFs at approximately $57 billion, increasing the total assets of ETFs to approximately $153 billion.

These flows can provide a stable source of demand for BTC if BTC continues.
How ETFs change the game
ETFs give you familiar products to buy large funds. This reduces the barrier to entry. If quotas rise in Q4 as Visser suggests, the ETF channel could be the first to see many of its purchases.
Corporate Holding adds another layer
Public and private companies already hold bitcoin in their books. Data trackers show that public companies have Treasury BTC holdings at around $112 billion by many companies.
Big buyers like Michael Saylor-led strategy continue to be added to their mountains, and corporate shopping makes headlines when they happen. Demand for such companies could add to the overall market desire of BTC.
Viewing period
Based on reports and research, the second half of the fourth quarter will be viewing period. Bitcoin can see meaningful support if the institution moves as planned.
However, investors should expect bumps because it is the nature of the crypto. Policy changes, fees, or sudden liquidity throttles can reduce short flows.
In short, the indicator points to more allocations from Tradfi, but the execution depends on some moving parts.
