Crypto ETF racing is getting interesting, and ETF expert Nate Geraci isn’t holding back. In a post making the round, Jelach pointed out the irony that investment giant Vanguard, currently the largest shareholder in microstries known for its large Bitcoin holdings, is refusing to offer spot Bitcoin ETFs on its own platform.
“If you don’t see the irony here, you don’t know what to say,” Jelach said.
Geraci said BlackRock should be more aggressive in the crypto space by submitting spot ETFs to popular tokens such as XRP, Solana and even the wider Crypto index. He also feels that companies like State Street and Schwab are behind and should move quickly to stay in the game.
2) It’s not too late for State Street (the third largest ETF publisher) to enter the category. Honestly, I don’t understand the strategy here. Do you think they’re protecting gold ETFs in some way?
3) Schwab must submit/start a spot Crypto ETF. Why do they favor their main competitor, Fidelity?

A recent report from Bloomberg shows that several crypto tokens are lined up for potential ETF approvals in 2025. Solana, XRP, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Cardano, Polkadot, Hedera, and Avalanche. However, Geraci and other market watchers believe XRP and Solana have the best shot thanks to the strong interest in the growth of large financial companies and solid networks.
ETFs often cause price surges in advance, but they can also trigger a “sell news” dip after a live show. The market has seen it previously with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. That said, projects with strong foundations and well-known partnerships tend to bounce back and work well over time.
Currently, XRP appears to be particularly well positioned. There is less exposure in existing Grayscale Trusts, growing list of financial services partnerships, and some already moving ETF applications. Solana is not too late, and is one of the most active networks on the market, with institutional support rising.
If everything goes as expected, the second half of 2025 could be huge with crypto ETFs, with names like XRP and Solana potentially leading the bill.
